The Messengers


Solar sound installation, 2023.
Exhibited in the group exhibition Eavesdrop - my friends fill in the silence, SET Lewisham, London 2023 and at LungA Art Festival, Seyðisfjörður 2023.


Materials:
5x solar panels, 5x plexiglass engravings, 5x arduino nano, 5x voltagesensors, 5x amplifiers, 5x resonancespeakers (Daytona exciter), 20m speaker cables, suction cups, aluminum casts, silicone.


Translating sunlight into sound waves, the messengers hang on the glass panels emitting clicks that fall to the ground like the raindrops outside the windows. As the sunpeeks out from behind a cloud the solar choir fills up the space with clumsy tones thatinsist on telling, yelling and reminding of the things that cannot be overlooked.
