The body knows before I do.



A site-specific installation made for LungA Festival in Seyðisfjörður 2023.

The body knows before I do is an installation where a string of text in the form of vinyl stickers leads the visitors through a wrecked car park. The almost diary-like text applied to the different vehicles touches on self perception, disassociation and the tension between knowledge stored in the body vs. the rational mind.

Another set of local cars carried refrains from the text as they drove around the town during the festival.
